Ontario’s Dual Credit Program offers senior Ontario High School students an opportunity to experience a regular college course while earning both a college credit and a credit towards a High School diploma.
The Dual Credit program is intended to encourage eligible secondary school students to complete their Ontario Secondary School Diploma while exploring postsecondary education at an Ontario Community College.
Dual Credit is a co-operative effort with a mandate to assist in creating a seamless transition for students from secondary school to college, particularly students who face significant challenges in completing the requirements for graduation but have the potential to succeed.
The WRDSB partners with Conestoga College to offer a variety of program options. Use the menu to the left to learn more.
SWAC is a partnership between the WRDSB and Conestoga College. It is a full-time program that provides students with an opportunity to earn compulsory and elective courses toward their OSSD in an alternative student success room at Conestoga College. While enrolled, students may also complete Dual Credits (college credits counting toward OSSD). The primary focus of the SWAC program is to support students who are disengaged and underachieving with the potential to succeed in an adult learning environment.
