This course will introduce you to the world of digital technology (DT)—how it works, how it's changing our society in good and bad ways, and how to think critically about its use. You will learn how to create computer programs using the basic tools of coding, including if-statements, loops, subroutines, computer graphics and documentation. You will learn how to use digital devices effectively by studying hardware and software, operating systems, networks, safe online practices and good digital citizenship. You will investigate the effects of DT on human society and on the planet's environment, on our bodies and our brains. You will explore the benefits, limitations and potential dangers of artificial intelligence.
