Explaining things to people - this can be daunting and draining, but can help with social change. Be aware of your capacity when advocating for your rights and self expression. Remember that you are not alone. Come to the GSA in room 2120 for support!
Push for structural change (such as change within a classroom setting or sports and how they are organized). Ask for help from trusted staff members or adults when needed for this. The more people involved, the better chance for change!
Navigating your emotions / information / language through journalling, art, creating
Coming out - this can be complicated for many reasons. Remember that your experience is valid and your reasons on when to come out is perfect, just like you! Take your time and if you need any help creating a safe space, talk to staff, CYWs, Social Workers, Therapists, Counsellors, trusted/safe friends, etc. You are supported!
Interpreting other peoples perspectives (dealing with unwarranted opinions or balancing online platforms)
The right usage of names, nicknames, pronouns
Open-minded people
Safe friends + spaces
Gender euphoria
Feeling seen and heard + validated experiences
Supportive and encouraging staff members and peers
Exploring cultural places + pieces of identity
