Semester 1 Courses: Students must fill out the course change form by the end of the first full week of school - Guidance works to get all changes completed by the end of the second full week fo school.
Semester 2 Courses: Can be changed ANYTIME during Semester 1!
Mid-September we host an evening where Gr 9 students and their parents can learn more about life at Eastwood.

College applications usually open in early October - closes February 1, 2027
University applicaitons usually open in late September/early October - closes January 15, 2027

Midterm report cards come out in mid-November - Guidance will meet with students who are not passing to try to come up with a plan to turn things around.

Semester 2 Course Changes

Students will need to choose their courses in myBlueprint and submit them by a deadline in late February
Typically, February 1 is the deadline for University applications.
We try to have students change Semester 2 courses during Semester 1
Students who did not change their courses earlier can sign up to change courses - the window for this is smaller than in September since students have had 5 months to change their Semester 2 coruses!

Summer School registration usually opens up mid-March and closes in May

April is when we start building the timetable for the school - figuring out how many courses will run, which courses and how many of each course, which period and which room, as well as which teacher - this is a complicated process that takes time!

Summer School registration closes around the later part of May. Students can still try to register for Summer School after the deadline, but there is no guarantee that students will get into classes.
