Exploration

This is my final project and the main focus was motion. I did motion, freezing action and blurring action, because it was a project we did not get too and when I looked at the projects we were going to do motion caught my eye. I think that motion really represents me because I’m always doing something like sports everyday. The topics I chose to focus on were basketball and the snow. I took 2 photos from the snow, one of work and one of play. It was the first time it had snowed so I thought that it would be important to focus on. I also did basketball because it is a big part of my life and my personality and it really showed that I understand how to do motion. I then added some light writing because we did it in class and it was just really fun to do and interesting to look at. To do both of these types of photos I had a faster shutter speed to freeze action and a slower shutter speed to blur action, like in the light writing. I ended up choosing a light writing photo to print because the body of the person is out of motion and in 2 different spots and the lines of the light are really interesting to look at. I liked this project because I was able to pick the topic I did and was able to approach it any way I wanted to without any rules or guidelines. I thought this project really represented me and my skills that I have gained throughout this class.
