Description: This one-day training provides a complete overview of the initial Safety-Care training curriculum. Participants must demonstrate competency in all areas of the Safety-Care curriculum and will be tested for proficiency through the demonstrated competencies and a written test.

The course will also delve into trauma-informed restraint practices, emphasizing the importance of minimizing harm and promoting a supportive environment.

Description: Dr. Dahlsgaard will explore the reasons behind frequent nurse visits and offer evidence-based strategies to help students return to and stay in classrooms. She will also discuss collaborative approaches with parents, teachers, and administrators. Case examples and Q&A will be included.
