My name is Mrs. Johannah Lawrence, and I am the Talented Art teacher for Varnado High School and Wesley Ray Elementary School. I am a proud VHS alumni (C/O 2010) and I am excited to be pursuing my passions as an art teacher while fostering a creative spirit in the next generation.
Our Talented Art department may be small, but we are the Mighty Wildcats, and we will do great things! This page will highlight exemplary student work and provide an outlet for parents and community to connect and support the great things our students are doing.
For the past two weeks, our Talented Art students have embarked on a journey of self expression and creative freedom. On Friday, junior students Ian and Lajada assisted with cleaning and revamping the art showcase inside the school. These pieces are just some of the artwork that was made by students ranging from 6th through 12th grade in a variety of mediums.

All students enrolled in K-12 can participate in these contests, not just students who are enrolled in Talented Art courses.
