The 31,000-square-foot Fox Cities Exhibition Center will serve as the host venue for all WATC and WKTC competitions. Visiting athletes and fans staying at the attached and newly renovated Hilton Appleton Paper Valley Hotel will have walkable access to over 60 dining options, 50 shops, and 30 night-life spots all in Downtown Appleton.
The Hilton shuttle operates every half-hour during the hours of 4:00 AM - 11:00 PM each day. (eg. 4:00 AM, 4:30 AM, 5:00 AM etc.)
There are two vehicles in operation (Ford Transit and Toyota Sienna); both are white and marked with the Hilton logo.
Pick-up will be located at Door 2 of the Appleton International Airport.
If you require pickup information or to pre-schedule, please call the Hilton at 920-733-8000.
It is recommended to pre-schedule your departure shuttle to ensure you arrive at the airport for your preferred time.
There are four parking ramps located near the Fox Cities Exhibition Center in downtown Appleton, providing safe, convenient parking. For this event, we would recommend that throwers utilize the RED and GREEN ramps for ease of travel. PURPLE circles indicate skywalks for easy travel between buildings.
The Red (Hilton Appleton Paper Valley) and Green (PAC/Fox Cities Performing Arts Center) parking garages are pay-as-you-exit and accept cash and credit. Regular rates are just $2 for less than 3 hours, $3 for 3-4 hours, and $ 5 for over 4 hours.
**Throwers do not need to validate parking with the hotel.
It will be cheaper to park in the ramps and pay the $5 a day to leave your vehicle. The above ramp rates are for every time you exit the ramp and you would have to get a new parking pass once you re-enter the ramp upon return and pay each time you exit.
NOTE: For those requiring an ELEVATOR from the parking ramp into the Hilton Appleton Paper Valley, we recommend utilizing the Green Ramp as it affords easy elevator access to the FCEC and Hilton Appleton Paper Valley via the Skyway over College Ave. and Lawrence St.
There are no plug-in chargers within the parking ramps.
For more information on locations where these can be found, visit PlugShare or ChargePoint.
In the FCEC area, Downtown Appleton’s parking meters generally cost $1.00 per hour, and are limited to two hours from 9am-6pm. Street parking is free after 6pm on weekdays and all day on Sundays and holidays.
Download the free Passport Parking App on your Apple or Android devices.
Payment for parking can be made by debit or credit card. The app allows users to extend parking time remotely – provided it is within the time limit of the parking space. Users can also receive notifications when their time is about to expire. The meters will still accept coins for users that prefer that method. The app is available for use at all of the almost 1,000 metered parking spaces across downtown. See a quick demo video.
