GCSE Business (Edexcel)

All pupils opting to study GCSE Business will follow the Edexcel specification.

Year 10 – Theme 1: Investigating small business

  • Enterprise and entrepreneurship

  • Spotting a business opportunity

  • Putting a business idea into practice

  • Making the business effective

  • Understanding external influences on business

Year 11 – Theme 2: Building a business

  • Growing the business

  • Making marketing decisions

  • Making operational decisions

  • Making financial decisions

  • Making human resource decisions

Examination 100%

  • 2 written examinations of 1 hour 30 minutes duration.

  • Both are worth 50% of the qualification.
