The 2025 timeline to apply for Chapter 74 Career/Vocational Technical Education (CVTE) programs for Worcester Technical High School, Doherty Memorial High School, North High School, and South High Community School, is as follows:
January 6, 2025-February 14, 2025: Applications Accepted
February 14, 2025: Application Period Closes
Wednesday, March 12, 2025: Lottery Held
Lottery results are shared with families immediately after drawing and will be posed on the schools' websites by Friday, March 14, 2025.

In the Spring of your 8th grade year, you will have the opportunity to choose which classes you'd like to take your Freshman (9th grade) year. Your guidance counselor will help make sure that you are able to take courses that you enjoy, while also making sure that you are meeting your graduation requirements.

Career Vocational Technical Education Programs!
Career Vocational Technical Education Programs!
Career Vocational Technical Education (CVTE) is a program of studies where students learn skills in high school that prepares them to work in a particular field. When you graduate from these programs, you will have met the graduation requirements needed to go on to a two or four year college, and will also have met the requirements to begin a career in your vocational and technical field. These programs are optional and you do not need to apply to them.

Innovation Career Pathways Program
ICP is a competitive, extended day career technical education program offered to any student who is NOT enrolled in any CTVE program. Student's will apply to this program in 9th grade. The program is held from 2:30PM – 5:15 PM at Worcester Technical High School.
