Goddard Scholars Academy at South High School
The Goddard Scholars Academy (GSA) is an academically accelerated program for gifted and talented students of the Worcester Public Schools. While the GSA program is for students from grades 6-12, there are openings in Grade 9 for students to enter the program. Students entering the program in the 9th grade must submit an application providing grades and discipline records from grades 7 & 8 along with an essay. Applications will be scored and students with the highest scores will be notified by May 15th.
It is expected that all Goddard Scholars take 5 AP (Advanced Placement) courses.

World Language- Advanced curriculum, students in GS at Sullivan Middle School will begin with Spanish II or III.

The Hanover Insurance Academy of the Arts offers its students a rigorous arts-infused curriculum. Students who wish to advance their artistic studies and have academic achievement in honors level classes are encouraged to apply.
Unique Components of the Hanover Insurance Academy of the Arts:
Students pursue their interest in Dance, Music, Media arts, Visual arts, or Theatre.
Academy students will declare their artistic major for their four years of study.

This academy will focus on BioMedical Sciences, and in addition to their core coursework, students will commit to taking a biomed themed honors level course each year.
Students in the Advanced Science Academy will enroll in advanced science and math core and elective classes.
