The TEACH Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 a year to students who are completing or plan to complete course work needed to begin a career in teaching. As a condition for receiving a TEACH Grant, you must sign a TEACH Grant Agreement to Serve in which you agree to (among other things) teach:
In a high-need field;
at an elementary school, secondary school, or educational service agency that serves students from low-income families; and
for at least four complete academic years within eight years after completing (or ceasing enrollment in) the course of study for which you received the grant.
See flyer below or click here for more information.
WSU offers an online application system to match you with scholarships you qualify for.
The annual application period is January 1 to April 15.
Decisions of the scholarship committee are made AFTER the close of the Spring semester each year. If students are selected to receive an award they will be notified in early July.
Awards will appear as a credit on their invoice with the University for both the fall and spring semesters. Students who are not selected for an award are generally notified in late July.
