ReadyGEN is a K-6 integrated literacy program that accelerates learning for all by presenting modeled reading experience with authentic tests. Each student will have a personal library of 12 authentic trade books matched to different common themes throughout the year! There is an integration of reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary building that will help our students meet the rigor of the common core and build life skills as readers, writers and learners!

In addition to all of the resources we will be using from our ReadyGEN series we will also continue to build a life-long love of reading through getting the right book into the hands of your child. We will start off by setting personal goals, with the understanding that 4th grades should be reading 100 minutes each week. Your children are completing reading logs to help track their goals. A great question to ask your child is: “What are you reading today?”
