Meet Ms. Smith

Hi all! I am beyond excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year alongside Mrs. Snitcher, as this will be my second year of teaching! I recently just graduated from Rowan University in May of 2024 with my BA in Inclusive Education (Elementary Education and Special Education). I attended Rowan College of South Jersey prior to that, where I earned my AS in Education. Last year, I absolutely adored every minute of Kindergarten, so I am super stoked to be in K again this year! 

Although I am not from Woodstown nor did I grow up here, I have family that lives in town, so I am no stranger! I am extremely thrilled to be joining this awesome community and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to serve the awesome people who live in it! I currently live in Washington Township, NJ with my family - fun fact, I am the oldest of five kids: two girls and three boys! Family truly means the world to me, so I spend most of my time, if not all of my time, surrounded by my parents, my siblings, and my cousins that I am super close with. I grew up in Washington Township, attending elementary, middle, and high school in our town. As I mentioned previously, I attended Rowan College of South Jersey and then Rowan University soon after. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, taking many trips to the beach in Ocean City, NJ, and staying active through activities such as pickleball! 

Here are some of my favorites to get to know me a little better: food- pasta, color- blue, season- summer, music- country, sport- soccer, animal- dolphin, school subject- math, store- target or starbucks, dessert- ice cream and flower- hydrangeas or baby’s-breath! 

I am eager to meet and work with all of our students and their families this school year - I know that it will be an amazing year together!
