Geography

Welcome to the geography page!

What does geography mean?

Geography, from the Greek, ‘Geo’ (Earth) and ‘Graph’ (Writing), is the study of the physical features of the Earth, as well as the human activity that affects – and is affected by – these physical elements.

What is geography?

Geography is a study of people and place. The best way to learn geography is to 'do'.

In geography we always need to be asking 3 questions: What, where and why?

Start by thinking about our local area. Can you think of what, where and why questions we could ask about our local area?
