Sketchbook - Please use a sketchbook (or any paper you have) to be creative and draw what inspires you. Any supplies can be used to create. Feel free to send pictures of your creativity to me on Dojo!
Community Kindness Art Project - A great way to spread kindness in our community during this quarantine is create art for others to enjoy. Make a picture or card for someone else to help brighten their day. A lot of people are feeling sad, alone, or anxious during these times and art can be a great comfort. Display your art in a window at your home for others to see. Give a card to the postal worker or grocery worker. Send your art to your local police or fire station. One of our parents works at a hospital, St. Joseph's, and she is willing to take art to be put up in the hospital. You can send art to her at:
Emily Isakson, PT
St. Joseph's Hospital
5000 W Chambers St
Milwaukee, WI 53210
If any other essential workers would like to do this for their place of employment, please let Ms. Chandler know a mailing address and we can put that on here as well.
Please continue working on our concert songs using the resources here. Concert Resource - Song Lyrics
Band students please continue to practice and use the online app accessed by the access code in the back of the Traditions of Excellence music book. I would ask for you to practice 15-20 minutes a day for 5 days a week so we don’t fall behind as a band! Repetition is key to developing great technique! Continue working on Rain, Rain and the two new notes we learned. Please read each page carefully to make sure you are maintaining proper technique. Please also use the online videos when covering a new topic. If you feel adventures, read and try to play ahead. Please dojo or email me with any questions when practicing your instrument!
