August 27, 2022 -- What does it mean to be a "global teacher?"
As I sit and finalize the website capstone project, I am struck once again by the sheer amount of information we covered as a cohort last year! No joke, I have learned a lot of things in my 14 years of teaching, but I am still coming to terms (which I hear is normal) with what this all means. As a person who is not well traveled, much of this course stretched my vision of my classroom to its limits. I often found myself asking last year, "is any of this even possible?" But, as I sit down after two weeks of a new school year, I am reminded again that this is a journey. It is a marathon. It is a lifetime of learning. I am re-asking myself, what is the purpose of this curriculum? This unit? This lesson? I think these questions never really go away. But they challenge us to create space for global learning.
