Woodford County High School is located in beautiful Versailles (Ver-Sales) Kentucky in the heart of the Bluegrass. A school of approximately 1,200, WCHS has committed to created opportunities for students to connect to its community and beyond.

Since the advent of the C3 Framework, teachers in our district have worked to include inquiry based practices in our social studies classrooms. While we believe that all teachers have a unique style and voice, many of our teachers have integrated the Inquiry Design Model (IDM) to challenge and empower students to become life-long learners. Local history is big history in Woodford County. For the past several years former teachers, community members, and students from the district and local universities have built and implemented a plan to highlight local Black history by acknowledging the significance of the Huntertown hamlet. Originally created by Woodford students and teachers, Spark Community Cafe is a farm-to-table, pay-what-you-can cafe dedicated to addressing food insecurity in Woodford County.
