Yacumama "Mother of Water"
After my sisters and I got transported to a boat in a beautiful mythic river that appears to be a “Ancestor’s River. We were glad there was a way for us to get back home safely. While my sisters were resting on the boat, I enjoyed the amazing view the river forest had to offer. A few minutes pass by and I suddenly feel cold and get chills on my spine. I didn't know why it would happen but there’s a saying that says if your.- body is cold or gets chills when it's not cold, there is something bad or there is bad luck. I was getting worried about the things I heard when you get that. The air suddenly felt heavy and just weird. I wanted to ignore all the signs that something bad would happen but I knew something was off and wrong.
Water quickly started to form waves and little shockwaves. Sadly I knew something was going to happen. I told my sisters to be careful and pay attention. The twins whined saying, “Ugh please tell me there isn’t another one of those magical monsters again.” Velia and Delia also noticed a loud hissing coming from under the water and fishes were swimming away from where the long shadow was. Shock waves got shockingly worse and brutal and destroyed some structures where there was land.
After the shock waves in the water slowed and calmed down, the water was clear with swirls scattered everywhere forming little water tornadoes in the sea. All the sisters gasp really loudly saying, “It’s an ELECTRIC EEL!!!” The water splashes revealing an oddly cute eel or snake. My sisters were confused and so was I. but I realized the Eel’s pupil started to turn thin and bloody red. I told my sisters to back off for a moment. I got really scared and backed off from it. Out of nowhere though, the weird eel looking more like a snake jumped out of the water with its huge long and thick body while it was roaring and hissing. Juanita was yelling desperately, “AY DIOS MIO que es esta cosa diabólica???!!!” We were all terrified for sure. That monster kept surrounding us and showing his bloody demonic teeth and tongue. He quickly turned around and swung his ginormous tail destroying several trees and ruining the environment. The boat was slowly sinking, Juli kept on whining, “this day couldn’t get any worse.”
I quickly found a little cave hideout and I told them to move quickly. Velia and Delia kept on crying because of this monster, “Please kill that monster please.''Velia and Delia are both sobering. My ear pendant suddenly started to glow bright, then I heard Llorona talk to me in my head. “It’s you Llorona! We really need your help with something please!” “What do you need help with?” she replied back softly. I told her we needed help on how to defeat the snake and why it is like that. She started with where it came from. “This giant monster snake is known as the Yacumama, “The Mother of Water.” It's known for its legend and its fearsome demonic body structure. It appears aggressive and eats mostly any living thing that breathes. Since it's known as the Mother of Water, it's going to belong in the water.” I was shocked that we encountered a mythical creature from the water after she said all of that.
