Safety Skills - PPE worn, Proper use of shop equipment, proper procedures followed, no horseplay (running, wrestling, throwing, etc).
Work Skills - Lates, attendance, materials ready, on task, focus, active cleaning, no shortcutting, appropriate cell phone use.

Project Completion graded by supplied project rubric. (Student assessed)
Marked out of /15 and weighted at the 50% Practical Level.

This course requires the purchase of consumable materials and tools required for student practice and skill development. The breakdown for each level is as follows:
Fab 10: $60.00
Fab 20: $85.00
Fab 30: $85.00
The use of cell phones in the shop is off limits. The use of cell phones
in the class is limited to instructional use as per teacher approval. Chrome books are encouraged, but a cell phone can be used as a last resort to access online materials and demonstration videos with conversation with teacher.
Career and Technology Courses (CTS) allow students to complete all assigned work to meet expected learner outcomes. Marks of “INCOMPLETE” or “NOT HANDED IN” will be placed into Power Teacher until the student completes the learning task. For students who do not hand in the assigned work prior to the last day of regular scheduled classes for the Term or Semester, a zero will be put in to complete the calculation of their final marks.
• In the CTS Curriculum Competency Skills must be demonstrated and meet expected learner outcomes as we prepare our students for the world of work.
• In addition, Lacombe Composite High School CTS dept. has incorporated strategies of intervention for the success of all students.
Meetings with teachers to find solutions, working with parents, use of flex time, opportunity to improve grades (additional work/project), working through exam week, work with admin for solutions, online resources, homework, reminders on FYI board for due dates.
