I have been teaching for over 20 years and have taught third grade and Kindergarten, as well as have been a Reading Specialist, which is my current position at P.S. #1.  

 Fun Fact: I have only taught in the West New York District! 

I have my BA in Elementary Education and English Literature, as well as an MA in Elementary Education with a certification in Reading Literacy.

I am married to my husband, John, for 17  years and we have two beautiful children, our son, Jonathan who is 13 years old and our daughter, Danica who is 9 years old.  

Some of my favorites are:

• the color purple

• dark chocolate

• coffee

• listening to music or watching TV to relax

• reading books, especially to my students and children

• traveling

• spending time with my family

I am very excited to continue my literacy journey and help as many students as possible to make reading and writing a little bit easier.
