Women Migrants Human Rights Center of Korea


WMHRC is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, run by donation.


We are dedicated to standing alongside migrant women to ensure their civil rights are (absolutely!) protected, enabling them to confidently stand as independent citizens.

We listen to migrant women first and stand against to all kinds of discrimination toward migrant women.

We engage in advocating migrant women’s human rights.

We believe in the ability and power of migrant women, respecting them as empowered individuals in social change. 

Furthermore, we expand migrant women movement with solidarity and by communication.

👂Counseling Migrant Women in Crisis

We stay with and listen to migrant women facing all kinds of violence and discrimination.

📍Seoul Counseling Center for Migrant Women (9:00-18:00, workday)


Counseling Content

All kinds of crisis that migrant women face, including human rights violation, domestic violence, sexual violence, prostitution, legal issues, residence and stay, labor issues, mental health, medical treatment, protection, and returning homeland


Help Offered

Interpretation and translation in multiple language, case management, emergent protection, legal support, providing companionship during the investigation, medical support, psychic counseling


Counseling Language

Korean, English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Mongolian, Filipino, Russian, Uzbek, Thai, Cambodian (Contact for other langauges)

🏡Protecting Migrant Women in Crisis

We protect migrant women and their family during emergencies and offer supports for their daily lives.


📍Seoul Migrant Women Shelter (for middle-long term stay, in Seoul)

📍Hanultari Shelter (for short-term stay and emergencies, in Seoul)


Duration of Protection

Seoul Migrant Women Shelter : long term (up to 2 years) 

Hanultari Shelter : short term (up to 3 months, can be extended once)
