Geology plays a critical role in climate and energy resilience and sustainability by providing natural resources, energy, and storage solutions. Dr. Autumn Haagsma and her research team tackles important issues like carbon capture, utilization, and storage, to help Michigan meet their climate goals and energy and resources needs.  Our research is hosted at the Michigan Geological Repository for Research and Education (MGRRE) which is part of the Michigan Geological Survey and Western Michigan University.
