I am excited to be at Waldron for my twentieth year in the classroom. I'm still surprised at the path that led me to be an English teacher, as I headed off to college in 1998 to become a forensic scientist! Luckily my career journey took an unexpected turn, because I love what I do and could not imagine spending my days doing anything else. Outside of the classroom, I am a yoga teacher (and student), though finding time to get on my mat is a challenge. My husband and I have two wonderful daughters who are also a part of the Waldron family.
I have taught grades 6-12 during my career, at both private and public schools. I received my undergraduate degree in English Literature at the University of Scranton, and continued on to earn my Master of Science degree in Secondary Education English at St. Joseph's University. My certification is in Secondary Education English, grades 7-12 (Level II). I am a joyful, lifelong learner who is always looking for new and fun ways to approach the learning process. In fact, I am currently back in school at St. Joseph's University pursuing certification in Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness in Education.
