April 3rd @ 7PM in Andrews 101: A tried and true I.T. classic! We will perform about an hour of long-form improv in a Shakespearean-style! To end in tragedy or mirth, will all be decided before your very eyes...

April 2nd @ 7PM in the Williamsburg Regional Library: We are joining the local improv group "The Uncastables" in a joint-show! Our set starts at 7:25!

🏃‍♀️ IMPROVATHON 🏁

April 11th @ 12PM-12AM in Crim Dell Meadows and Lodge 1: Our annual 12-hour improv show on Day For Admitted Students! From noon to 6pm we will be performing in the Crim Dell Meadows, and we will move to Lodge 1 for the remainder. Stay tuned for announcements regarding the charity raffle for Hope Family Village and the theming for each hour (yes, each hour has a new theme).

About Us

We're I.T.! We are William & Mary's OLDEST comedy group! I.T. performs short-form, long-form, and musical improv: a form exclusive to I.T. around campus.

Improvisational Theatre (I.T.) is for everyone. Whether you enjoy watching improv or performing, we strive to foster a unique space where people can laugh and connect with one another. From fun-filled rehearsals to themed performances, I.T.'s nearly forty-year-old traditions and quirky members make this troupe ideal for those willing to boldly express themselves by creating art and committing to meaningful causes like workshops at local schools and fundraising events.

I.T.'s members come from a wide range of social and academic backgrounds. You may be surprised to know that the vast majority of members current and former are not theater majors, but instead have included english, anthropology, biology, international relations, film studies, computer science, history, economics, and more! The broader the backgrounds of our members, the broader the perspectives on life and comedy we can bring to our performances.

Of course, making sure our members are in tune with each other is crucial to creating good improv, which is why we meet three times a week for around 90 minutes. Spending time together also helps us bond with each other and form meaningful friendships, and with our vast alumni network, it is safe to say that I.T. will be with you for your foreseeable future. In short: Once I.T., FOREVER I.T.!!!
