Meet the Staff

Hi! I am Cathy Doorneweerd, one of the Technology Integrationists at West Lyon. My husband, Curt, and I live in Lester and have two children. I previously taught Agriculture Education at West Lyon and am excited to be in the technology integration role. I earned my Master's Degree in Education in Technology and Curriculum and am eager to use this to help students and teachers learned about using technology in the classroom. I love all things Google and can't wait to help use the tools they offer with students and teachers alike! Outside of school, you can find me gardening and watching my family play ball.

My name is Melinda Ver Meer, and prior to this position, I taught special education for 15 years at West Lyon. I live in Lester with my husband, Rob, and our three youngest children, Mason, Spencer, and Carter. Fun fact: The boys are all the same age for two weeks out of every year. : ) I've always had a passion for technology and feel that my love for learning and desire to help others are a perfect match for my roll as a Technology Integrationist. I'm very fortunate to assist both the students and adults at West Lyon.
