Technology Mission

West Lyon Community School’s technology mission is to create a student population who will ethically utilize technology to:

• solve problems.
• think critically and independently.
• collaborate and communicate purposefully.
• take ownership of learning.

The school will provide support for professional development to improve teachers’ knowledge and skills in implementing technology throughout a curriculum that integrates Iowa Core and 21st Century Skills.

Students, teachers, administrators, school board, and community members will work together to ensure that technology use enhances the development of students to be global citizens who are college and career ready.
