Hello, I am Mark Rentschler, and I teach junior high science and physical science. I live in Larchwood with my wife, Penny, and our collegiate offspring Veda, Xander, and Malison. We also have the most superior cat in the universe, Kirby. Additionally, we have Finley, who is tied for the most superior cat in the universe. I grew up in rural Inwood, IA and proudly attended West Lyon. I graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN. I began my teaching career at Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls, SD. Currently, I am in my seventeenth year of teaching at West Lyon.

I also coach junior high football as the seventh grade head offensive coordinator and assistant special teams coach. I am the varsity boys track and field coach.
