Hello, I am Mark Rentschler, and I teach junior high science. I live in Larchwood with my wife, Penny, and our offspring Malison, Xander, and Veda. We also have the most superior cat in the universe, Kirby. Another pet adored by the household members, Rikki the Golden Red Rump Tarantula. I grew up in rural Inwood, IA and proudly attended West Lyon. I graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN. I began my teaching career at Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls, SD. Currently, I am in my thirteenth year of teaching at West Lyon.

I also coach junior high football as the seventh grade head offensive coordinator and assistant special teams coach. I am the varsity boys track and field coach.
