Homework Policy, Assignment Board, Schedule & Grading Scale
We always want to inform parents of how our homework policy is carried out. We allow a “free assignment” for each subject every quarter. That means if your child has a late assignment in math, they can turn that assignment in for full credit. However, if your child has a second late math assignment in that quarter, the following deductions will be made. We feel that this is a fair policy since our students are one step away from junior high. As always, we hope that homework is done thoroughly and on time!
Homework is an assignment to be prepared or completed other than during regular class time. Homework that is "poorly done" in the judgment of the teacher isn't considered as being turned in. Homework is expected to be done on time, if not, the grade will be reduced as follows: 1 school day late = 25% reduction 2 school days late = 50% reduction 3+ school days late = zero credit for the assignment Calculation of a reduction should be computed after the student has earned a score. For example, on a 15 point assignment that the student missed 6 points and the assignment is 2 days late: 15 possible - 6 points = 9 points earned - 50% (late) = 4.5 as final score The reduction for being late is off the earned final score.

Siempre queremos informar a los padres de cómo se lleva a cabo nuestra política de tareas. Permitimos una “tarea gratuita” para cada materia cada trimestre. Eso significa que si su hijo tiene una tarea de matemáticas retrasada, puede entregarla para obtener el crédito completo. Sin embargo, si su hijo tiene una segunda tarea de matemáticas tardía en ese trimestre, se harán las siguientes deducciones.
