Sarmaya Sharma -- October 8th
The violent backstory of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow starts from the revolutionary war. A German soldier was killed in a cannon fire during the war. The cannon fire resulted in him losing his head. This event followed him to the afterlife. The soldier was buried, however his ghost searches for his head at night.
The story has had changes made to it over the years. Many tell the story as he has a jack-o'-lantern in place of his head or he rides a horse at night. The soldier in this story is named “The Headless Horseman” and stories are still made about him today.
