Auden Graves -- November 12th
The world being seen isn't real. The food that’s being eaten, the vegetables, the meals, the desserts… You aren’t actually eating that. You could be sitting on a rock, in the Sahara, sweating buckets, eating cacti, and what proof do you have that it isn’t just that?
The sky is blue, that’s what they all say. But… what if it isn’t? Space is black, so that means the sky is too, only that the distance makes it seem blue. It’s all only a trick.
When you lose something for hours, days, sometimes months or years, and it suddenly reappears after you remember it exists, that's just your mind. That dessert you’re eating isn’t dessert, that’s the desert.
You think the world is spinning, but it’s stuck in place. Global warming is just a sign that you're finally realizing reality. Maybe your snow cones and ice creams aren’t just that, but the cold sand of the desert.
Ever find sand in your home, despite not going to the beach in ages? That’s your mind trying to tell you that you aren’t home. Everything you’re imagining isn’t real.
Whenever you turn the air conditioning on, and it takes forever to work, that’s your mind fighting back.
The human mind is more susceptible to hallucinations after going long without something. Another name for that is Sensory Deprivation Hallucinations, also known as the Ganzfeld Effect.
The Ganzfeld effect happens when you are so starved from any stimuli, that your brain is left to make up for it with its own imagination. It was founded by a man in 1930, his name was Wolfgang Metzger, and he was a German Psychologist. Ganzfeld means “whole field,” referring to the fact that the hallucinations come from being unstimulated in a barren area, without structure, and consume your entire field of vision.
The main way to get this effect is by being starved of your surroundings. You could start off by being trapped in a cell, with nothing but your mind to keep you company. Over time, it’ll fill in the blanks. By depriving your mind from necessary things, like human interaction, it will automatically try to fix it by creating your own.
But, since most are aware they are speaking with human beings, that isn’t the thing they’ve all been deprived of.
What’s truly being deprived, is materials.
There isn’t anything to build with, and in order to create a sense of security people started acting as if there truly were those necessary materials in order to get by.
The human mind has nothing to fend itself with besides the body it was given, which means it will do anything to keep its vessel safe, even if that means making it believe it is truly in a home, or driving a car, or even writing an article.
Spreading the word is important, and just like before, global warming isn’t just the sun getting hotter, it’s our minds finally deciding to believe that they really aren’t where they are.
Your body doesn’t just randomly heat up, it's your body trying to keep you alive.
When it’s night, the desert gets so cold, that it could get to -3,9 degrees celsius (25 degrees fahrenheit). And during the day, it could get to 38 degrees celsius (a bit over 100 degrees fahrenheit).
It would explain the random cool breezes, or the sudden heat waves that come out of nowhere. Or how, even when under a dozen blankets, it’s still so cold.
The world isn’t heating up, it’s your mind trying to tell you that you aren’t safe. It’s trying to tell you that you aren’t truly home, and that you never have been. It’s a warning, something everyone has to consider.
