September is National Suicide Prevention Month.
Singer, actress, producer and businesswoman, Selena Gomez publicly struggled through various mental health problems. But, she is now recognized as America’s newest self-made billionaire.
Gomez was able to achieve her billionaire status through her makeup brand, Rare Beauty.
She continues to de-stigmatize mental health issues by speaking about her experiences and donating to support mental health organizations.
Her brand, Rare Beauty, donates 1 percent of its sales(100 million dollars) yearly to mental-health organizations, to increase “access to youth mental health services and education globally” (Rare Impact Fund).
