Hello!
Welcome to Mrs. Kouroutis' resource room website. I am Jennifer Kouroutis and I am a resource room teacher at Oquenock Elementary. During my teaching career, I have been an integral part of West Islip students’ education for students in both special education and general education classrooms. I have had the pleasure of teaching students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade in both general education and special education settings. As your child's teacher, I am committed to providing your child with a safe, nurturing learning environment where he/she will establish a lifetime love for learning. The resource room should always be a place where students feel comfortable and supported when addressing their individual learning needs. Here, with hard work and dedication they have an opportunity to achieve success. I believe strongly in parent and teacher communication and look forward to speaking with you regarding your child’s progress throughout the school year.
