5TH GRADE SUPPLY LIST 2024-2025
FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE, BELOW YOU WILL FIND THE
AMAZON LINKS TO THE SPECIFIC SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR 5TH GRADE.
(OF COURSE, IF YOU CAN FIND THE SAME PRODUCT AT A LOWER PRICE PURCHASE THAT ONE).
Sharpies will be used often for project-based learning activities in all subject areas
1 shoebox sided plastic container (They have similar ones in the dollar store as well)
4 Pack Front Pocket Folders (1 for each subject: Math, Science, Social Studies, ELA)
4 dry erase markers and an eraser (You will need a clean sock as well)
Zipper Supply Case (This has a hook to attach to the backpack. Students will be switching classes this year for subjects. They will travel with their backpacks throughout the day and will need something convenient and large enough to hold supplies for projects.)
Wired earbuds or headphones (A pair for school and a backup pair at home if they should lose theirs, which will happen.)
Wireless mouse (optional)
1 box of Ziploc bags
Girls- sandwich size (at least a 24 pack)
Boys- gallon size (at least a 24 pack)

Dear Fifth Graders and Families,
Welcome to fifth grade! We hope you are enjoying the last few days of summer break. We are looking forward to an exciting school year. Our intention is for you to grow socially, emotionally, and academically throughout the year. We strive to foster a classroom environment filled with rich experiences, engaging projects, great achievements, and lasting friendships. This year will bring many fun opportunities to go along with the responsibilities and rewards that come with being the oldest in the school.
The FIFTH GRADE TEACHING TEAM is led by Ms. Kennedy, Mrs. Field, and Mr. DeMaio. To best prepare our students for middle school, fifth grade is structured in a departmentalized model. Each teacher provides English Language Arts instruction to their homeroom students. Students switch classes for the content areas (Ms. Kennedy- Social Studies, Mrs. Field and Mathematics, Mr. DeMaio- Science).
You will find a list of materials that your child will need in order to start off the new school year. If you purchased materials from the list online, please just cross it off this one. There is no need to buy materials again. As a reminder, please label all supplies. We greatly appreciate it if your child has all of these items by the end of the first week of school.
