This is a comprehensive intensive program for students with significant reading and writing challenges.  The instructional goals of the program are to develop: 

• Accurate and speedy word recognition

• Spelling and proofreading proficiency

• Increased vocabulary, background knowledge, and listening comprehension skills

• Fluency with an emphasis on expression and meaning

• Grade-level independent silent reading skills with narrative and informational text. 

It follows a 10 part lesson plan that addresses decoding, encoding, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.
