The Ordinary is Extraordinary:
Professional Reflection, Collaboration, and Advocacy
Over the years, I have struggled with a bit of imposter syndrome and with feeling that I was not doing enough to support the success of my students or work well with coworkers who did not have a clear understanding of multilingual students and the positive addition they were to our classrooms. This presentation hopes to reassure and reaffirm that as professionals who work with multilingual students, we are indeed the experts and have the tools in our toolboxes to be effective teachers, and that we possess the professional skills to collaborate and educate alongside other educators in our school communities.
