Call for Proposal:

Parallel Active Sessions:

Each Active Session facilitator will have 20 or 40 minutes to run their activity and answer questions. We invite contributions that align with the theme of motivation and any of the pillars of IBL, including:

• Different models of active learning (e.g. IBL, team based learning, problem based learning, POGIL)

• Different models for student buy-in and engagement

• Assessment (e.g. specifications grading, ungrading,...)

• Equity

• Other ideas or findings you would like to engage the community with.

Lightning Session: Learning Stories

Members of NE-COMMIT share a brief vignette of a memorable personal experiences regarding themes as course planning & assessment, student buy-in, faculty buy-in, productive discourse, etc. They can include (surprisingly) successful teaching-with-inquiry moments, or messy / challenging moments. You can add your story spontaneously if you feel inspired to do so.

Please submit your proposal by August 27th (extended!).
