「十字軍」というクラシック映画に字幕をつけていただきます。こちらは字幕翻訳の勉強をまったくしたことがない方でも応募できるような形で課題を設定しております。

参加者には、ワイズ･インフィニティよりメールにて映像とスクリプトをお送りします。

締め切りはワイズ・インフィニティからメールでご連絡差し上げた日から２週間後の深夜０時までとします。（祝日及び休日にお申込みの場合はご連絡が翌営業日となります。もしメールを確認いただけない場合はメールがはじかれている場合がございます。御手数ですがお問い合わせください。）

原題：THE CRUSADES

「十字軍」（1935）　あらすじ

12世紀末、聖地エルサレムをサラセン人から奪還するため、フランス王フィリップとイギリス王リチャードは国を挙げて十字軍に参加する。イギリスに国を併合されることを恐れたフィリップは、自分の妹をリチャードの妃にしようとするが、エルサレムへ向かう道中、リチャードは食糧の供給と引き換えにナヴァール王の美しい娘べレンガリアと結婚してしまう。そしてサラセン人との戦いが幕を開ける。一方でフィリップの臣下であるコンラッドは、自らがエルサレムの王となるための陰謀を企てていた･･･

皆さんに翻訳していただくのは、コンラッドとべレンガリアの会話です。無理やり結婚させられてリチャードを憎んでいたはずのべレンガリアですが、戦場にいる彼の身を案じるようになっていました。そこへフランス王の臣下コンラッドが現れ、リチャードと別れるよう促します。

字幕制作の注意事項

■上のスクリプトの【1】～【37】までのセリフを、行末のカッコ内の文字数以内で翻訳してください。

字幕にはセリフ1秒につき4文字以内で翻訳するというルールがあります。

これは普通に映画などを見ている時に、読める文字数を考えて導き出された数字です。

■訳文は下記の例に従ってワードファイルで作成してください。

　例： １ 今日 そちらに行くよ

　２ 急に言われても困るわ

　私にも予定がある

■１つの字幕につき１行の最大文字数は13文字×２行までです。

　字幕が２行に及ぶ時は、読みやすさを考えて文節の切れ目で改行してください。

■句点（。）は全角空け、読点（、）は半角空けとしてください。

■使用できる記号は下記のものとします。

　？、！、…、・（中黒）、“　”
