Programs For First Responders & Their Families! 

At Wise Equestrian we put first responders FIRST, but we are also here for their families. Offering curriculum based programing that provides skills development programs for first responders, their spouses, and children, as well as family skills development programs. 

Our curriculum programs emphasize an objectively driven curriculum of facilitating life skills through positively reinforced interaction with horses. The horses jobs are speaking to the participants through their bodies to help bring about the changes that the participants need to make. Exercises are developed to encourage self-confidence through validated, hands-on experiences. 

Equine assisted learning through the certification from Equine Connection is NOT equine therapy. We do not require a clinical professional with us to do these exercises and programs.

OUR TEACHERS ARE THE HORSES: 

Horses are ideal teachers for helping people build strong skills. Once a person is taught the basics of working properly with a horse, he or she can become the leader the horse seeks. When the horse feels safe, cooperation is a ten fold and the person can easily get the horse to do what is asked of it. Paralleling that piece back to their lives on how to work with people and themselves in their own lives.

The more senses that are engaged, the greater the likelihood that new learning will be retained. The more we involve learners, the more senses are engaged, thereby increasing the probability that they will learn, retain, and apply what they have learned. Each of our experiential learning exercises is custom designed to maximize learning potential and focus on developing individual skills as they work through each fun interactive group challenge.

Teams will work to: develop relationships; accept responsibility and accountability; overcome barriers to find change; be encouraged to be creative and innovative; find opportunity in working together; realize the benefits associated with the effective communication; and recognize the value of mutual trust, respect, and personal integrity. All while having a blast!

SAFE AND SECURE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT:​

Safety is essential to learning and working with horses, in a controlled environment we can bring a feeling of security to participants. Horses will never judge, they will always forgive and they will always listen to participants true spirit.

Family Herd Series Program:

• 4 week (or 2 day weekend) series

Team Building: 

• Come for a full day or half day with your team! Build skills that are crucial to supporting your team and improve team communication. 

• Exercises will vary depending on our team goals. Each session will start with Orientation.

Other exercises you could experience at Wise Equestrian: 

Around the World: 

• Come travel with Wise Equestrian to Brazil, Africa, Germany, and Spain all in one afternoon! Explore each country with the aid of your teacher (the Horse) and travel guide. 

Escape Room: 

• Do you like puzzles and solving problems? Then you will love developing your skills further with Escape Room! 

 *It is recommended that participants come for a minimum of 8 weeks to get the most out of our building block curriculum.

**The spouses and kids 12 and 8 week programs are made up of similar exercises offered in the first responders programs. The differences are the appropriate application of gearing the exercises to the different participants.
