STEAM Education is a dynamic approach that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics to enhance student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Through this method, students make connections between literary works and hands-on projects, fostering a deeper understanding of concepts.
By engaging in STEAM, students are exposed to the creative process, build meaningful connections, enhance their critical thinking skills, and develop unique problem-solving abilities. This holistic approach prepares them for real-world challenges in an increasingly interconnected world.
In this engaging team-building exercise, QUEST students had 10 minutes to strategize and plan their approach. They then had 30 minutes to create a paper chain using just one sheet of construction paper and 12 inches of tape. At the end of the time limit, each chain was measured, and the team with the longest paper chain was crowned the winner. This activity not only encouraged collaboration but also sparked creativity and problem-solving skills!
Great Work! 🤩
We read Three Billy Goats Gruff and discussed the story elements. Then the students completed the Stem Challenge.
Challenge: The Three Billy Goats Gruff need to get past
the troll and over to the other side of the river. Build a
bridge for the goats to cross over and high enough for the troll to fit under.
