1st & 2nd QUEST Teacher: Sandra Arce

Hello, I have been teaching for 19 years. This is my 5th year as a QUEST teacher for Weslaco ISD. I graduated from the University of Texas-Pan American in 2000 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts specializing in Graphic Design.

This year I will be servicing Silva, Gonzalez, and Ybarra Elementary.

Born in Munich, Germany
Raised in Ohio near Lake Erie
Attended Bowling Green State University for my undergraduate degree and Texas A&M for my master's degree
33 years of teaching experience in Texas - 28 years in Weslaco
Love animals - have 5 big dogs (4 of them are labs) and two cute cats
Adore children and my children are all grown - 2 are working with dad's engineering firm, 1 is attending Judson College, 1 is in the Army and overseas

4th/5th QUEST teacher: Letty Mata

Hi! This is my ninth year teaching at Weslaco ISD and my third year teaching QUEST. I graduated from The University of Texas-Pan American in December 2010 with a Bachelors degree in English and a minor in Film Studies.

I am currently the kinder, 4th & 5th grade QUEST teacher at Ybarra Elementary. I am also the 4th & 5th grade QUEST teacher at Rico Elementary, Silva Elementary, and Gonzalez Elementary.
