Our GEAR UP Own Tomorrow Summit initiative kicked off today on our campus! UTRGV GEAR UP, in collaboration with the Stronger Connections Grant and our district LPCs, guided students through an inspiring goal-setting session. Students created vision boards and reflected on their future aspirations, identifying meaningful steps to achieve them.

Our GEAR UP students had a great time during lunch creating college-inspired bracelets! A fun and creative way to celebrate their future goals while showing off their school spirit.
GEAR UP is in full swing at Mary Hoge! Mrs. Cavazos, GEAR UP Coordinator, has been visiting our 8th grade classrooms, and we’re so grateful to Ms. Brenda and Ms. Gabriela, GEAR UP parents, for their help in decorating and bringing GEAR UP Week to life.
August Parent Workshop- August 27th, 2025
Thank you to our GEAR UP ⚙️parents for joining us at yesterday’s workshop! Parents had the opportunity to create a personalized roadmap to success for their child. Together, as a team, we will continue supporting students to reach their highest potential. Mark your calendars—our next GEAR UP workshop will be on September 23rd at 9am, where we will discuss the STC Dual Program options offered by WISD.✨
