Happy Dairy Month! 🐄🐐
This is the month that signals to me that summer is here because everywhere I go, businesses are offering free cheese, milk, or ice cream. 🍦🧀🥛
My husband, Paul, and I took a short trip over Memorial Day weekend. You can see us in the photo shown here. If you can be the first to specifically identify where we are, you will receive a 4-H swag prize package. Call or email me with your answer. 📸
I am very excited to welcome our new 4-H support staff member here in Pierce County. Welcome, Izzi! She has already done a great job updating the newsletter and has moved it forward in ways I had been working toward.
Please take time to explore every part of the newsletter. At the beginning of each month, we will email the new newsletter, and it will also be posted on the website.
There are many opportunities to learn something new this summer, including day camps and workshops. Please also watch your mail for invitations to upcoming events.
We did receive a very limited number of 4-H fair books at the 4-H/Extension office. All of them are now gone because 4-H club leaders were quick to respond. If you still need one, please check with your club leader first, and if they do not have any left, you can stop at the fair office to pick one up.
I hope everyone is getting into their fair projects and spending time working with their animals and finishing up project work. This is the busy part of the year, but also one of the best parts. I am looking forward to seeing everything come together at the fair and celebrating what our youth have accomplished.
Keep your clover strong. 🍀April
Hi Everyone!
My name is Izzi Mielrosse, and I am thrilled to be back in the 4-H world as the 4-H Outreach Support Associate for Pierce and St. Croix Counties.
I’m a third-generation 4-H’er from Waushara County, and 4-H played a huge role in shaping who I am today. It gave me confidence, strengthened my leadership skills, and helped me discover many of my passions. During my time in 4-H, I was heavily involved in the state arts programs, including Arts Camp and Drama Company. Some of my favorite projects were showing cats, scrapbooking, and photography. Those experiences also inspired me to pursue photography, which eventually led me to start my own photography business.
I graduated from UW–River Falls with a degree in Communications and minors in Psychology and Dance. I currently live in Ellsworth with my husband, our four cats, and two turtles. We love camping in our converted truck camper, traveling whenever we can, and spending time gardening—especially growing native flowers and our own food. Around the holidays, we’re known for going all out with decorations! I also coach gymnastics and acro at River Falls Gymnastics Club.
A fun fact about me: when my husband and I got married, we created our own last name by combining parts of each of our last names into one new name!
I’m so excited to meet all of you and to help make a positive impact in the lives of young people through 4-H.

Spread out a blanket; the whole group gets on the blanket so that no arms or legs are touching the ground off the blanket. If the group completes this, everyone gets off & folds the blanket in half. Repeat the above process for as long as possible.
What is your Club's record? How many times did your blanket get folded?
