Weaving with Everyday Objects

When: January 19, 2026, 4:30-5:30PM CST

We'll weave with common and uncommon materials we have around the house or in our storage closets. Gather string, cords, wires, fabric, rubber bands, paper, cardboard, paper, etc.

We'll meet in person at Appleton Public Library, Madison Public Library and Wayne RESA offices. We'll also meet virtually. Register to receive the zoom link.

Teacher Studio is a hybrid learning community for formal and informal educators interested in hands-on, maker-based learning.

Each month, participants will make something together and share ideas for supporting maker-based learning experiences with their learners. You can join online via zoom or in person at one of our four hub locations. The Teacher Studio is made up of school-based and out-of-school-based educators from a variety of content areas, grade levels, and experience levels with making.

The Teacher Studio is a partnership between UW-Madison PLACE, Wayne RESA, Building For Kids Children's Museum, Madison Public Library and the Fermilab Office of Education and Public Engagement.
