Above is the 4-H Fair Foodstand link for all members, leaders, parents, caring individuals (really, whoever is willing to work in the foodstand for your shift). Here is how the Google Doc is set up:
· The tabs on the bottom are for each different day of the fair. Click on the tab to open up your day.
· Column A is the time of day of the shift (it is also color coded by shift time)
· Column B is the minimum age that the person must be to work in foodstand. It is set up so that the whole shift isn't composed of kids too young to work in the stand. Please follow the age requirements
· Column C is the person's name
· Column D is the Grade/Adult of the person
· Column E is the club working that shift.
*The workers are not signing up for the hot side or cold side. This is just to sign up for a shift.
*We are asking that you have it filled in by August 15th. That way we know that the shifts are filled.
*Thursday, August 19th is the Foodstand Coordinator Meeting. Please have someone there (held at the foodstand) to represent your club. We are cleaning the foodstand from 5:30-6:30 and the meeting will start at 6:30.
As you promote working in the foodstand, remind your club that the funds raised go towards all of the Sheboygan County 4-H programming. It is an expectation that clubs work a shift in the foodstand to help with this fundraiser. Working in the foodstand is as enjoyable as you make it. This is a time for club members/leaders to bond with each other. Also, youth are learning valuable life skills, such as customer service and money handling.
Thank you for all that you do to help the Sheboygan County 4-H Program a success!

The need is great for additional shooting sports certified leaders! We have contacted Doug Thompson at the state level and have confirmed that if we can get at least five interested parents, we can host a training here in
Sheboygan County. The link to the information about certification is
If you weren't aware, the certified leaders in orange vests this year consisted of parents with high school-aged members, (some of their children did not even participate this year, but they were there); and at least 5 that do not have 4-H aged children anymore! We need more certified leaders.
Training consists of a Friday evening and Saturday training. The cost of the training and lodging is reimbursable.
Please contact one of us ASAP to let us know if you are interested and we will gladly take the reins and get something set up. Warren: 920-838-0930 Rhonda: 920-528-7774 More details are located here: https://fyi.extension.wisc.edu/wi4hshootingsports/competitive-shoots-3/

Let’s move Fourward Together this summer by taking Chris Clover on a journey throughout Wisconsin. Chris Clover is a fictional character that 4-Hers can print and take along on their 4-H adventures this summer. The idea is that they take a photo of themselves with Chris Clover, engaged in 4-H activities related to the Wisconsin 4-H Movement values. They can be printed out already in color, or printed in black and white for 4-Hers to creatively color and decorate. Here’s what we need from you:
1. From NOW until September 15 4-H youth and families are encouraged to share how they or their clubs live out the Wisconsin 4-H Movement with Chris Clover.
2. Chris Clover can be found by clicking the banner on the Wisconsin 4-H website for people to download and print their own Chris Clover and then take them with you on your 4-H adventures this summer. (Even better, you can send them to wi4h.org to find it–EASY!)
Details:
Open to all Wisconsin 4-H members, clubs and groups.
Each individual, club or group can enter up to six submissions – one submission per 4-H Movement Value.
All submissions will be entered in to win 4-H Movement Swag.
Submissions may be featured on the Wisconsin 4-H website, social media pages, and other promotional materials.
Submissions are being accepted June 15, 2021 – August 15, 2021.
4-H leaders may enter submissions on behalf of 4-H clubs and groups.

As part of the 2021 Governor’s Blue Ribbon Meat Products Auction, benefiting the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation, we host a silent auction comprised of baskets created and donated by county 4-H leader’s associations.
We are reaching out to you today to ask for your participation.
The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation is asking your county 4-H leader’s association to create a basket with items that represent or are made in your county. Your basket will be offered during the silent auction at the 2021 Governor’s Blue Ribbon Meat Products Auction benefitting the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation on Tuesday, August 10, at the Wisconsin State Fair. In the event of space limitations, any basket not used at the event will be used at another 4-H event.
Proceeds from the sale of your basket will be split on a 50/50 basis with your county. In 2019, nine counties from across Wisconsin participated, with the top baskets generating more than $200 for the county.
Basket value is suggested at a minimum of $100 and should contain items unique to your county. Please do not include items that require winners to travel to your county, such as gift certificates for restaurants. And please do not include any perishable food items as we will not have proper storage or refrigeration available prior to the auction. Alcoholic beverages (such as beer or wine) are permitted.
If you are interested in participating, send an email by July 1 to Joanne@wis4hfoundation.org to let us know you will be creating and donating a basket.
Additional Information:
The container used need not be a basket but can be anything that fits with the theme of your contribution.
There are no strict value maximums, but your basket should be valued at a minimum of $100.
A list of contents with approximate values for each item must be attached to the basket.
Your group name and address must be attached to the basket.
Baskets should be packed for display and wrapped in cellophane.
One basket per county, please.
You must let us know if you will be participating no later than July 1.
You will be contacted in July to finalize delivery of the donation. Options are unknown until final State Fair decisions are completed.
Remember, proceeds from the baskets are split between your county and Wisconsin 4-H Foundation on a 50/50 basis. The more attractive your basket, the more you raise for your county!
The auction could not be successful with the remarkable support it receives from our partners. Thank you!

As we roll out the carpet for Sheboygan County Fairgoers we once again plan to proceed with one of the best teamwork and promotional opportunities the fair has to offer for our clubs . . . Club Booths! I am looking for a volunteer to work on coordinating sign-ups, communications, judging and awards for this opportunity. I’d love to support a volunteer in making this happen for our families and clubs. If you want to help please let me know by calling me at 920-459-5915 or e-mail me at sarah.tarjeson@wisc.edu.

If you have any interest or expertise in reviewing financial records or bookkeeping please consider joining this committee. If you want to help please let me know by calling me at 920-459-5915 or e-mail me at sarah.tarjeson@wisc.edu.
