Let's do the Bioblitz! Community Science in your Library
A bioblitz is a community science event that collects biodiversity information about a particular geographic
area, over a particular time period. It is also a low cost, easy way to explore the public spaces in our backyards, neighborhoods, anywhere in our community. Libraries are perfect hosts for a bioblitz! You can engage your library patrons in their community and contribute to the scientific body of knowledge!
Anne Moser, librarian and avid bioblitzer, will give an overview of community science and bioblitzing and will share hints and tips on ways to host a bioblitz in your library. Come and join the fun – you will now have the best (only?) reason to leave the library and go exploring!
