Week 4 Daily Activities - Arms
Push Ups
When: Do these during your free time such as commercial breaks or while listening to music.
How many:
Note: Start with level 1 and increase levels if this is too easy.
Level 1: 5 push ups
Level 2: 10 push ups
Level 3: 15 push ups
Tips:
Keep your back flat
Look down at the floor during the exercise
Make sure to breathe throughout the exercise
Benefits:
Strengthens arm and core muscles
2. Shopping Bag Bicep Curls
When: Do these when you are bringing in shopping bags from the car.
How many:
Note: Start with level 1 and increase levels if this is too easy. Do all exercises with bags that are roughly the weight of a milk jug.
Level 1: 5 bicep curls on each arm
Level 2: 10 bicep curls on each arm
Level 3: 15 bicep curls on each arm
Tips:
Have your back against the wall to keep your back straight.
Make sure to breathe throughout these exercises.
Do this in a slow and controlled manner.
Benefits:
Strengthens your arm muscles
3. Putting Away Dishes
When: Do these while putting away dishes at the end of the day.
How many:
Level 1: Help put away dishes one time during the week.
Level 2: Help put away dishes two times during the week.
Level 3: Help put away dishes three times during the week.
Tips:
Do this in a slow and controlled manner.
Only put away one to two dishes at a time.
Benefits:
Strengthens shoulder muscles
Helps with shoulder range of motion
