If the workshop is full, you will see a message to add yourself to the waitlist. CIMER will contact the waitlisted applicants if a spot becomes available
All cancellations must be received via email at least 21 days prior to the workshop to receive a refund.
Participants are:
Faculty, instructors, staff, or administrators.
Working with mentors whose trainees are undergraduate students, graduate students, postdocs, or junior faculty. Our workshop materials are currently optimized for use across science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine fields.
Committed to implementing research mentor training workshops at their institution or organization within the next year.
Institutional Team Training Only: Teams of 3-5 interested in collaborating/have support from institutions/departments to implement mentor training within the next year. Each team receives up to 60 minute consultation with CIMER facilitator within 6 months.
Cost
The registration fee is $2500* per registrant for individual (non Team) workshops and $2500*for Institutional Team workshops per team member, plus cost of travel and hotel for in person workshops.
*prices may change and are good through the fiscal year of 2023-2024. The most up to date pricing is noted in each recruitment email.
Registration Details
This workshop is limited to 24 participants for online and 32 for in-person. We highly encourage teams of two or more people from an institution or organization to attend together. Each individual needs to register.
The deadline to reserve your spot is three - four weeks prior to the workshop and is on a first-come, first-served basis. If the workshop is full, we will add you to a waitlist and notify you ONLY if a spot becomes available.
Two-Step Registration Process:
The two step process noted below apply to our individual public trainings and not our Institutional Team Facilitator Trainings.
Step 1: Pay Registration Fee for an Open Spot. Once you have completed payment, you will receive a confirmation which will be your receipt and contain a link to the google form (for Teams, this will be sent with the payment link) . Your spot is automatically confirmed once we receive your payment.
Step 2: Submit a google form. Once we have received your payment details, CIMER will send you a google form. You will need to upload a professional photo or headshot as well as a brief bio (max 250 words) describing your title and interest in facilitating mentor training. This information will be shared with workshop participants during the training.
