STEM Day

Discover the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at STEM Day, a hands-on learning experience for youth in grades 8-13. Hosted in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Stout Fabrication Lab, this one-day program introduces participants to emerging technologies through interactive projects and real-world applications.

Each year features new activities and challenges that may include 3D printing, soldering, laser engraving, computer programming, digital design, and fabrication technologies. No prior experience is necessary, and youth of all skill levels are encouraged to participate while building problem-solving, critical thinking, and technical skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Who can participate?

• Youth in grades 8-13

• Current 4-H members and non-members from Chippewa, Dunn and Eau Claire counties

• Beginners and experienced STEM enthusiasts alike

Because the project changes annually, no two STEM Day programs are exactly the same. Join us to build new skills, explore future careers, and discover how creativity and technology work together to solve real-world problems.

Registration information

Registration opens in mid-November and closes on January 11. Space is limited to 15 participants, so be sure to register early to reserve your spot!

Payment information

The cost of this program is $15 per youth and includes all program supplies, a snack, and lunch. Payment should be made payable to the Chippewa County Treasurer and can be mailed to:
