As teen leaders and caring adults, we have the power to help youth discover and nurture those sparks. This session will help you learn more about being a Sparks Champion for youth. Discover why supporting sparks matters, what the impact of a Sparks Champion can be, how to encourage youth sparks, and celebrate their progress.

The Vernon County Youth Leadership Project (YLP) will present its annual Youth Leadership Challenge program, which asks clubs to conduct service learning projects throughout the year to earn points. The YLP picks a specific theme and this year's is hygiene. Workshop attendees will get to make homemade laundry detergent, while also brainstorming how to implement an intentional service learning component, not just community service. Participants will also receive all the information on how the challenges work, what the prize is for winners, and more--so that they can implement in their own counties. Each year, our clubs do around 30 service learning activities because of the YLP's challenge!

Whether you’re 12 or 52, it’s easy to look around a room and wonder, “Do I really belong here?” In agriculture, 4-H, leadership, work, and even social media, we compare our beginning to someone else’s highlight reel. This interactive session explores imposter syndrome, why we underestimate our own experiences, and how sharing authentic stories can build confidence, connection, and trust.
